Kokonut Pacific is the pioneer social enterprise company that developed Direct Micro Expelling (DME®) to increase incomes of remote island coconut communities and countries with tropical coastlines.  DME® is a technology designed for a ‘village-based’ small business to produce Virgin Coconut Oil. It minimises urban drift, is gender neutral, has no waste and no negative impact on the environment.  DME® takes coconut processing back to the villages and farms where the nuts are grown rather than to large factory facilities in the major cities or offshore. Here smallholders produce DME® Extra Virgin Coconut Oil within one hour of opening a coconut.  The result is the production of a vastly superior Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. The oil is perfectly natural, organic, has a mild aroma and flavour – it is simply brilliant!

Kokonut Pacific manufactures and supplies the DME® Kit which includes the press, supplementary items and comprehensive construction, production and training manuals.

Kokonut Pacific buys Extra Virgin Coconut Oil from over sixty smallholdings in the Solomon Islands as well as buying Coconut Oil Soap and Coconut Shell Bowls which are sold through Kokonut Pacific's retail brand Niulife.

Kokonut Pacific donates 100% of its profits to the Niulife Foundation which invests into projects that build business based on sustainable agricultural resources, helping alleviate poverty and providing opportunities for communities to thrive.
